The middle of February means that the regular season is wrapping up for basketball. The teams have worked hard over the last three months preparing for this moment. The games that truly matter. Who has worked the hardest to get better? Who is working the best as a team? Who wants the win the most? Sectionals, then regionals and moving on states is the goal for every high school basketball team right now.
Sectional seeding is determined by the wins and losses to your sectional opponents during the regular season. Once sectionals take place, the top two teams will move on to the regional game. The winner of the section will play the #2 seed of another section and have home court advantage. The #2 of our section will play the #1 of another section and have to go on the road. Only the winner of the regional game will move on to states. It is an exciting time for both boys and girls basketball and we are looking forward to seeing how far our Bearcats and Lady Cats will go!
